What Is Faith Fusion?
Thanks for taking the time to read this. There are a multitude of other blogs you could be reading right now. You might get to the second sentence of this little introduction and swipe away to a cat video or your favorite Substack writer. If you’re more literarily inclined like myself, you could be cracking open the next Brandon Sanderson tome. Point is, there’s more media out there than there is time to consume it.

Faith fusion.
It’s your film/book review, daily devotional, philosophical quote of the day, and cultural commentary all fused together (I’m still working on incorporating the cat videos).
Basically, this blog takes strands of popular media and intertwines them with Christian principles. For example, what does the Bible have to say about committing violence in the name of fighting evil? I break it down using HBO’s detective show True Detective as a structural guide.
In each post you can expect
- A breakdown of a book, movie, or TV show
- Scripture application
- Words of wisdom from theological and philosophical thinkers like C.S. Lewis and George Orwell
- Personal insight from your average English Major
